Wars are fought with propaganda. This war isn't special.

The closer to being from the garden, the better they taste. -Also, the more toxic.

VLC is heavily bloated with features you need a guide to use (may as well use a command line tool if you need to refer to a guide every time). It crashes (or did about 2 years ago) some of our Linux systems. MPV spanks the piss out of it.

Isn't this more of a pseudo piracy from youtube tool rather than an alternative?

Awesome for being a free tool, but it pales in comparison to Photoshop.

I wouldn't know any differences, as I wasn't using Linux back when sxiv stopped being developed.

I used to have Dolby Digital and DTS audio. I don't anymore, thanks to Pipewire. Meanwhile, my custom DWM works flawlessly.

AFAIK, it just came out of 'early development', and I haven't seen any publicity on it since. It's also only supported by a few distros. -Fedora isn't one, and considering it's one of the distros that's pushing hard on Wayland.

Sway isn't dynamic. Sway is for idiots that try to do everything 'new user-friendly' when it's barely any easier (if at all) than much better options.

Might be the reason I switch from Fedora to OpenSUSE. While it solves problems for some, it's not ready for others. One of the few (legit) reasons to use Linux is the dynamic tiling window managers. -Wayland (atm) takes away that reason.

Block the bootloader from updating, use LTS kernel for stability. Checking Arch's page didn't work for me, btw. I ended up switching to Fedora because I was hit by every breakage (4 in a row), LTS kernel didn't work with my ethernet, and ethernet broke after an update. -Some people have great luck and some don't.
