600K unsafe shutdowns with zero errors from my old Proxmox drive

Pulled a Samsung NVMe out of an old PVE RAID 1 mirror. 600K+ power cycles and 600K+ unsafe shutdowns across 7K hours, but 7% wear and the mirror never resilvered. Drive worked fine in PVE the whole time, no idea what set it off. Counters froze the when I moved it to my laptop so it must've been something on that host. Maybe a Samsung APST quirk logging power state transitions as full cycles but tbh, no idea.

Whois privacy protection is free and available for .de. It will hide registration info from public searches. This is definitely good enough for your use case of keeping services from accessing your personal data.

Just be aware it's not full anonymity - your info can still be obtained through legal channels if required.

But for everyday privacy from services and companies, it works perfectly. Definitely worth using your own domain as it stops you from being locked into one provider!

Same, just bought two rack mount SilverStone cases for my PCs to consolidate everything. Next up is a 48U Rack mount, saw one on Facebook marketplace for around $200AUD (~$150USD) - what did you get?

I keep having this strange dream where I'm driving from the backseat.

The car is full of passengers including someone in the driver's seat but they're not driving. I'm too polite to ask them to switch.

Somehow I make it work, but I'm always more worried about the terrible visibility than not reaching the pedals.

The car's always full of calm passengers, oblivious to my stress. I never panic, just try to lock in and focus. My stress level is weirdly mild - like driving in a bad storm, not driving from the backseat.

Anyone else have absurd recurring dreams like this? @dreaming #philosophy

Great to see some positive news for a change haha, hope it continues.

I think there are some that are getting pretty close to this. Like SteamOS (although not a traditional DE) and Mint.
