Weirdly, this is not always the case.

We are past racism, and fully towards totalitarianism.

I made several lengthy presentations about many features, mainly those that are/were missing in MySQL.

In short, MySQL (has been) shit since its inception, with insane defaults and lacking SQL support.

After Oracle bought it, it got better, but it's catching up with stuff that Postgres has had for 20+ years (in some cases).

Also, fuck Oracle, it's a shit company.

Edit: if I had to pick the best features I can't live without, it would be 'returning', copy mode and arrays

Always has been... none of this shit is new, just the audacity is amped up.

While I agree with your attitude, the whole 'laissez-fair' thing is probably a misunderstanding:

There is nothing we can do to stop the AI.

Nothing.

The genie is out of the bottle, the Pandora's box has been opened, everything is out and it won't ever return. The world will never be the same, and it's irrelevant what people think.

That's why we need to better understand the post-AI world we created, and figure out what do to now.

Also, to hell with CP. (feels weird to use the word 'fuck' here)

Then what in the hell do you want?

I thought you want diverse opinions and nuanced debate, but when you want to just engage in opposing comments and not prefacing statements with 'I understand X, but wanna discuss Y here', the result is just trolling, detrimental to your proposed goals.

I have yet to understand what exactly do you want, or what is missing here.
