Very rarely I see the argument that apart from being harmful directly, it's also a GIGANTIC surveilance tool, and the most vulnerable people trust it with their inner thougths, which is to me scarier that 'just' copyrights.

A lot of different comments, and I know this is a greentext, but I wonder what people here think about americans who have 3 jobs and can only barely pull through?

Such people have nothing more to lose, everybody constantly keeps forgetting about them, the homeless, sick people... the list goes on.

And I'm not saying acceleration is good, but for the lost people, nothing good is coming from any side. And the pressure keeps getting worse. Even from the democrats.

So what is the solution, achievable as the world is now?

My SOs family played a lot of games kind of weirdly, they explained the rules to me, so I just joined and kept quiet at first, not to be a buzzkill.

For instance, they mixed Exploding Kittens two decks of cards, and some cards never did anything. Which felt weird. So after like third session I looked up the rules, and found out you can use two- and three-of-a-kind to pull cards from other players! It's not like they decided not to use them, they just never knew.

Since then, I always read the rules, no matter what they tell me. And lo and behold, the games are even more fun now.

Sure it takes time to compile, but you just run portage and watch the CPU burn. And if you have enough cores, it doesn't take all that long.

It's not about the boot times, definitely not about software running faster, everything about having even more control over your computer. Use binary distro if you like, but Gentoo has a place amongst the distros.
