Decentralized systems are more difficult to understand, and also inconvenient.

Also, very hard to monetize.

Therefore, capitalism converts the issue into walled garden approach. Easy for rubes to use, nobody bats an eye.

I'm losing my will to live lately at an alarming rate.

I used to love IT, way back at the start of 00s.

Soon after the 10s started, I noticed bullshit trends replacing one another... like crypto or clouds or SaaS... but now with the AI I just feel alienated. Like we're just all going to hell, and I hate the first row seating.

This was proven true by every analysis of the 'algorithms' of social networks.

Capitalism is a cancer.

There is a bigger one, with more networking terms, but I can't find it right now :|

Sure, your experience may be different.

That happened in 2013 with random laptop they gave me. I kid you not it took that long, could have been a bug somewhere in the OEM, never cared enough to find out.

But my experience is just as real as much as yours.

No, stop putting randos in the positions of power.

Selling everyone and everything to the highest bidder should be discouraged and punished. The yes-men bellow will fall in line.

Just yesterday I saw a video where a chair exerted 2000 pounds of force when next to the working MRI machine.

Can't imagine guns being near.

I dislike this take to much.

First of all, crypto doesn't protect you from scams, just look around you.

If you get 'one true crypto', you get locked in by its architecture, and there's always someone who controls said architecture. The chain is decentralized, but the core is not.

Also, tickets are controlled almost exclusively by a central authority, which owns the venues, so there is no way in hell they will let you keep a ledger of every purchase of every ticket. It's better for them to keep it concealed.

There is so much bullshit in the crypto hype, it's almost funny.

If you want to put crypto anywhere, do the stock market first, and then get back to me.

No no, they sued because they were behind.

Now they are not. Nothing wrong anymore.
