Any criteria? If newbie, there is nothing wrong with Linux Mint. If experienced, still there is nothing wrong with Linux Mint.

If you don't have Google Play Services installed, then you're not affected. Of course, how many custom ROMs will live to that day is unknown.

OsmAnd may have lots of features but it's heavy and clunky. Organic Maps on the other hand is quite light and very fast. If you don't need the some features OsmAnd has, Organic Maps is a way better experience.
