Only the time I took to play around with FOSS options, which is fine for a hobby. There are actually really good options out there, they just don’t match my needs.

This would usually be more of a 3D thing. Think of setting up Face ID on an iPhone. Look straight ahead, look left, look right. A flat photo wouldn’t likely work.

One of my main concerns with this is the potential for making a lot of separate calls to the DB for a complex data structure. Then again there are trade offs to any architecture.
