Until Gabe has a heart attack, venture capitalists takes over and stab all the PC gamers in the back. I guess there will be warning signs and it’s still people to un-DRM some Steam games so for now we’re ok.

Can you expand on why you think the market is saturated?
Games are some of the most complex pieces of software you can make and they rely heavily on artistic elements, meaning that it’s not 100% technical work.
It makes it hard IMHO to even become a game dev and make a game in the first place. Wondering why you think the game dev market is saturated given that assumption.
Can someone ELI5? I’m way out of the loop and almost too afraid to ask at this point.
Is tessaract an instance? My understanding through memes is that they hardcoded a blocklist of users and instances and it became a badge of honor to have your name on it.
Those milkshakes have been blessed. Still bringing those boys to the yard.
39? Like the nazis were nice and respectable before 1939?
Should say at least 1933 for when hitler got appointed Chancellor. 1920 when the party got formed. 1924 for the beer hall putsch. Maybe 1938 for the Kristallnacht.
There is nothing like republican Xenia:
- bathing guests in tear gas
- gifts of insults and oppression
- exchanging gifts such as children to appease the gods
- lodging guests in jail
- safe escort to their next ICE prison camp destination
- it’s considered rude to ask who the guests are before they have finished the meal offered to them. We don’t know who’s in the camps.
2012 was like “where’s his birth certificate?” 2026 is like “where’s his death certificate?”
Dictators and hyperinflation, name a more iconic duo.
They all lived on islands. Surely they had fishing nets close by? Put baby in a net, dip and strain like baby is some freshly cooked noodle.
SF same as LA??? Have you been to either? Scale. LA is huge. SF is a tiny city. Weather. LA has nice weather. SF has four seasons: windy, foggy, ok, rainy. Always somewhat cold. Food: LA is so much bigger and has much more to offer. SF has good food if you can afford it. Vibe: in LA everyone is nice to you but doesn’t care about you unless you’re rich. In SF no one cares about you. Architecture: suburb vs Victorian suburb.
Ah yes Boston the capital of assholes.
(Surprisingly, when I lived there, I thought people were very nice)
Why not both?? Brought two you by a radical flank theorist.
Imagine a group of people that is perceived as violent agitators. Lets assume they have demonstrated that they will escalate their violence if their demands aren't met. However, the people in power do not want to negotiate with terrorists, do not want to legitimize violence and their only answer to it is oppression. Now imagine a second group of people that has adjacent demands but obeys to non-violence principles and to methods generally regarded as civil disobedience. This second group will point at the violent radicals and position themselves as a reasonable alternative. The people in power will see them as a way out of the violence and will be willing to negotiate with them.
Overall, the first group might not get all it wanted, but there will be compromise and change towards their demands.
This can only work with people in power who eventually, bottom down, have a conscience and semblance of ethics. Dictators don't care about repressing their own people and will avoid the false dichotomy by lumping both groups together and send them to prison camps.
In practice it is also really hard to navigate as the opposition to the people in power is de facto divided, creating double opportunities to tank each group with various techniques like media manipulation, attacking leadership with lawsuits, blocking funding etc.
