Junk food is far, far cheaper than "healthy" food. So unless prices come down on the healthy food, this is going to simply reduce the amount of food people on snap can buy. Obviously eating junk food is bad, but its better than not eating.

Bruh I got the company I worked for 5 years ago's "save the date: 2017 company Christmas party" magnet on my fridge holding up my daughter's drawings. I would burn that place to the ground in a heart beat if I knew I'd get away with it. Fridge Magnets have a practical use. I'm not defending Platner, but the commentor you're responding to has a point.
