Moonlight seems to use 10mb/s to stream, so its not very demanding on internet either.

Its fantastic to play stuff remotely though, with sunshine/moonlight. I can VPN into my home network from coffee shops, hotels, etc and play much stronger titles streamed from my PC.
I understand this, but now they get to double dip, have a high price, AND charge more. Instead of having all the pricing roled into the final price, they get to say $65/m *
They also get to invent new situations to charge you for. Instead of just, "our service costs this much" they now get to add additional things like:
Who knows if they ever actually have to relocate a building like they told me. I'd like to see some figures in how often that actually happens, and how much it costs them as a company.
Centurylink added a fun one for me, a building relocation fee, I shit you not.
They mailed me paperwork stating how they need to charge an extra fee for when roads expand or move, and they have to relocate a building. So instead of just setting aside some of their profit for the few times they'll need to move a fucking building, now I get to specifically pay for this occurrence.
They're both open source, but you're dealing with possibly killing people if there's a bug with injecting insulin, or reporting blood sugar values wrong, haha so its a feat I've steered clear of, myself.

Understood! Like I said they're medical apps for diabetes, so its not a great thing to try to make a linux-port because you have to do testing and make sure there's no issues compared to the android version.
The way the apps work with waydroid is they need direct bluetooth access, or they need a pathway for the signals to get passed through to the container, via a fake bluetooth stack.
As far as I'm aware waydroid right now just routes supported things from the host device to the waydroid container, such as networking, audio, and I guess input from keyboards, gamepads, etc. Those devices don't have direct bluetooth support in the android container, the linux host is just passing things along to the container, there's just no supported path for a blood sugar monitor, or an insulin pump info to get to the waydroid container right now.
This is awesome, I have a fairphone 5 and hoping some of this work will help the finished development for the FP5!
Sort of related: is there any interest in looking at getting bluetooth support, or bluetooth passthrough to Waydroid? I have a few medical android apps that need bluetooth in the android container to be able to actually use them, and it seems to be stalled in the Waydroid development git discussions.
Yah, I guess I should have described it as 'mainline' linux kernel for PostmarketOS
Just an FYI, PostmarketOS has some desktop apps in the alpine linux repos, and it supports flatpak apps as well. Only issue is PostmarketOS uses the Linux kernel instead of android Kernel like Ubuntu Touch does, so the hardware support to get a working phone is still lacking. Right now VoLTE is still not working fully, and cameras are not fully supported.
So, again, coming at this from a diabetic perspective, ya might try researching around or talking to people from other countries about this.
I had heard similar for insulin in the US. If its unrefrigerated, it will most likely go bad after about a month, but I had heard in the UK and some of europe, their guidance says 60 days.
The other thing is: thats for unrefrigerated. I'm not sure what ya'll are taking and if it has to be kept refrigerated or not like insulin does, but for insulin, if its kept refrigerated, even as you're using the vial, it will last muuuuch longer in the fridge, like years.
Take all of this with a grain of salt because if I have a bad vial of insulin, I can tell immediately with diabetes as my blood sugar will start to sky rocket, and I can correct it with other insulin I've stockpiled.
If your medication starts to go bad and you use it, I'm not sure how that manifests and how harmful that will be to your goals with going trans.
So, just passing by as a diabetic, but not trans, and I'm confused a bit about the contamination part.
I use insulin that seems to come in a vial exactly like this, and have had to only throw a vial or 2 out over the 10 years I've been type 1 diabetic, and thats been either from:
Or 2. From bacteria contamination that turned the vial cloudy.
But most or the time, I can use the vial as many times as I need until the insulin is finished. This is the first I've heard of particulate contamination being a problem like you're saying.
Is this just the difference between the liquids inside the vial, and how sensitive the human body is to the contamination? Because based on my diabetes experience, I would just continue using the vial as is, unless it actually causes some sort of problem for me.
I think you missed the part where its a medically necessary app.
