I read about this with relation to Malcolm X and Dr. King. Essebtially the point is that you guve the oppressor only two options: violent retaliation, or peaceful pacifyibg granting of rights. Malcolm X was a bigger threat, so the US government chose to go with the less damaging option of Dr. King, abd ultimately the civil rights movement's goals were achieved (largely, though inperfectly)

Just off the headline, is it because whistleblower rates have also trippled? (Disclaimer, i dont actually know the statistic for the whistleblowers, just trying to make a mild funny)

Why do you think hes a troll? I stalked his account after you said that and it seems perfectly normal. Also in a previous comment he mentioned its to mess with scrapers. Not sure how viable/valid that is, but i see no indication of him being a troll, let alone a well-known one

I dont have youtube so i use it as my main mobile video viewing app. So far im happy with it. I have the youtube and odysee plugins. Devs also seem to be responsive and helpful on github, as i found out when i did a derp i thought was a bug but wasnt and opened an issue.

Dont go period. Even before this situation I was actively opposed to it. What people seem to conveniently forget is that the US didn't suddenly become a fascistic empire overnight because of the election of one man. Its been like this, just less "in your face" about it. Most people only seem to care now because now there is a big negative effect on the USA itself as well as other western countries, but previously while it was some south-east asian, or middle-eastern, or south-american (you get the point) country most people conveniently turned a blind eye and just consumerismed.

SteamTinkerLaunch worked like a charm! Here's what I had to do to get it to work, for anyone who stumbles across this post:

• Install the package pacman -S steamtinkerlaunch
• Run the command steamtinkerlaunch compat add to initialise it
• Add it as the required compatibility layer in the game I wanted (SH3) then restart steam
• Launch the game - the steamtinkerlaunch window opens. Click on the MAIN MENU button before it launches the game
• From the new steamtinkerlaunch window that opens, click on "One time run". This opens yet another window
• In the field "One time command" navigate to where I had LSH3_2022 downloaded, and select it
• Click on RUN COMMAND
• Follow the install steps in the LSH3 manual
• Repeat the steps related to "One time run" again but this time select the JSGME installer, and go through that installation
• Launch JSGME again using "One time run" and enable any mods I need (although LSH3 has a 1920x1080 widescreen mod included, this doesnt seem to work at least on my setup. I had to enable the Ahnenerbe WideGui 1920 x 1080 Final mod)
• Launch the game. It should work.

So far I completed the first training mission to make sure most things work. Hopefully there aren't any issues further on down the road. Thanks for the suggestion, I had no idea this tool existed, but now I will probably be using it quite a bit!
