I see. If at all avoidable, id like to avoid bambu if they are on the path of locking down, despite how easy they are. Opennes is really important to me, so if I didnt go for bambu, nor creality, what are ky other options at aprice range that is a logical investment for a first printer? If theres nothibg else, Ill just buy a bambu, but id rather not

I completely understand that you are trying to be supportive, and if the news from Venezuela didn't come out today I would not have replied, but it did, so back here I am. The problem is that the time for you to resist by buying EU goods, and spreading awareness about the issues in your country has long since passed -- And the rest of the world is paying for it. First Venezuelans will die, then possibly Cubans, and who knows, if no one stops the US war machine in the first two cases, why not also go for Greenland? (I'm slightly exaggerating here to make a point)

You can (I hope) see how all the support from people from the USA sounds like empty words. How about you use your 2nd amendment right that we've been hearing about for decades, for the purpose it was supposedly put in place for? Maybe its because you (or the people who like guns, I realise there's not a lot of crossover between left-leaning people and people who defended gun ownership, but regardless there's nothing stopping the people on the left from acquiring them from this point onwards) don't actually want guns to defend from a tyrannical government, but instead just find them fun to own and shoot.

Words are empty, and peaceful protest only works if your oppressor has a conscience, which its clear the USA doesn't have. The world is paying in blood for the fear of the average US citizen to deal with their own mess, and that tends to lead to the world not liking Americans (from the USA) very much, regardless of what said American's political leanings are.

Thanks for your words of support. Be sure to let the those who have already died from your bombs, and those who are yet to die, know that you support them also.

Thanks, I just submitted a new order for a kit of assorted ceramic capacitors. The comments in this post have been really helpful with regards to the capacitor question, I feel I understand it more now. You people are lovely :)

I see. A new question arose from reading your reply. Theoretically, if I were to put e.g. 2x1uF electrolytic (or any type) capacitors basically in series next to the power source of a chip, does that increase reliability or is there little reward for it?

I think I understood what you mean, but I'm not entirely sure about the last part:

but reducing voltages spikes caused by high frequency electronics they don’t do much

In this situation, would the RTC module be the high frequency electronic, or would the arduino be it (capacitor to protect the RTC from arduino's power supply??)

Ohh i see what you meant now.

I do like their kission and how repairable their phone is, so if im going to get a new one i want it to be that one. As for the OS, if down the road i do decide to move away from /e/os i can look into repacing it down the road

I think it might actually be just turning the display off now that you mention it. Here are the xfce4-power-manager settings I have for the display:

This was it. I got confused because I was using pacman -Q to search for the packages relating to qemu, but actually using yay to uninstall. Running simply pacman -R uninstalled them all without any dependency issues.

Could you please give me a short explanation of why that would happen when running it with an alias? Thanks!

I tried swapping the files so that the sh3.exe.Backup (original file) was the one being run and the patched version was renamed to something else and it still does the same thing. Could it be something else causing the crash? How can I track it down?

I think it might be for the older models, I'll check the manual for it.

I tried updating the BIOS but you need a battery with at least 25% charge plugged in as well as the AC adapter for it to let you even begin the update process (actually an amazing safety feature). Since mine has 0% I cant do that xD

@promitheas Never heard about battery whitelists. What BIOS version do you have?

$ dmidecode -s bios-version
N24ET72W (1.47 )

Also there is a reset button in the bottom of the laptop near ThinkEngine controller: Power off the laptop, disconnect both batteries and CMOS and hold reset button for a minute.

Will try this now and update this comment once I'm done

EDIT: I tried that but it doesn't seem to work. Note that I don't seem to have the internal battery, just its cover. After setting the date and time correctly in the BIOS it boots but still shows the message about the battery not being genuine.
