I recall reading an ex oracle engineer say that the code base is basically spaghetti. Not only that, but you basically have to be lucky to get your pr in, as due to said spaghetti, there is a high chance that it will be broken by the pr merged before yours.
I feel like those platform ideas came initially from people who wanted to build something cool. Something people would use. The ads were a side effect of being part of the tech company.
Now I feel they are built because it's a way to show ads or harvest data.
The protection of dismissing the update dialogue because it appears at start up, which is when I need to get something done. I guess I'll just manually update it from now on.
I mean I pay artists when I can. I buy and download songs from an artist I like, but for what ever reason this one track is not available to download. Stream only! I can't be sure, but I feel like I should say fuck you to netflix.
This is the shit that makes pirates.
You mean the ethernet shaped hole?
Just in time for someone to get an Xmas bonus.
Live and neutral are typically not interchangeable. fuses should be on the live cables so that over current is stopped on the way in. Plugging in the wrong way means that a blown fuse might stop current, but the device could still be at live voltages and be dangerous.
Actually looks like an anti removal screw. The inner edges of the plus are sloped, but only in the direction to unscrew.
Except in 99% of cases the person is asking an xy problem, and if they ever explained the why, they would get a proper answer.
Often the reason no one does the hyper-specific thing, is that there are better non code solutions, it's massively insecure, or is just stupid micromanaging.
turn off the toggle for “Show recommendations for tips, app promotions, and more.”
I turn this off anyway, as in Windows 10 it always kept pushing 3rd party apps. Is this ad any different to the Windows 10 "Suggested App" that was in the start menu for it?
At least if a modder picks a random spot for their content it's unlikely to conflict with any other mods.

Classic tactic, approve one thing, then slowly make amends to something that would not be approved. If it's gradual then each change is a minor adjustment so they don't need to seek re approval or notify anyone.
