I have gotten more interaction with pixelfed than with Instagram.

I have more followers in 1 year on pixelfed than 4 years on Instagram.

About 60% of my followers are only fans bots and the other 30% are people I know. The last 10% are organic followers who like my photos. I don't do short form videos so I don't have any lasting engagement.

I have advertised my pixelfed I think twice on the fediverse. But not any more than that.

If you want to have the community, I've heard that flickr is probably the best. Many people use it and it's photography focused.

Instagram is taken over by short form videos. If you're not doing that or making really really good photos in unique areas, then you'll max out at 2-3 hundred followers.

Thanks. Makes a lot of sense.

Just looked up Land O Lakes because it's the first popular one that comes to mind.

Sweet Cream, Salt. CONTAINS: Milk

Of 14g serving size 11g is fat which is about 78-80% fat.

Another generic butter

Great Value Sweet Cream Unsalted Butter

PASTEURIZED CREAM (MILK), NATURAL FLAVORING.

Natural flavoring is the alarming part of this list. But still has cream as the main ingredient.

Most I assume are bots that have spicy photos so you can subscribe to their OF.

I selfhost immich in a netcup VPS. They have a 2tb VM for about 22 euros a month via a black Friday sale

I'm on a 1tb arm plan for about 10 euros a month.

All the mom and pop restaurants I grew up with that have since closed.

Also knowing all the short cuts it took through the neighbor's yards to get home.

I wouldn't say it's gotten too expensive. I'm averaging about 2ish euros a photo with my medium format camera.

Each roll depending on the maker is 10-15 euros with 5 euro development fee. The most I've ever paid was 20 euros per roll.

If film ever runs out and I still don't want to give up analog photography, I'll use glass plates.

I think film is a bit too hard to do yourself. Case in point is Harmon Phoenix. You should take a look at their process because they are the 3rd maker of film emulation in the modern era.

You use an IBAN to send money. Yeah technically it's your bank, but it's a digital transfer without a middleman.

You can even put notes on it to pay invoices.

The website only uses http so you'll need to disable https mode if you want

For the range they're working with, it has to be glass. Plastic has way too much attenuation

I feel like I'm probably the sole one who's happy with Kubuntu. It's just Ubuntu with KDE on it.
