If status is modified in another thread you could have a race condition with method 1 because you're checking it twice. The two methods are not exactly the same code due to that.

Those benchmarks compare Wine NTSYNC against upstream vanilla Wine, which means there's no fsync or esync either. Gamers who use fsync are not going to see such a leap in performance in most games.

If you're using lutris or proton/etc., you're probably already using esync/fsync.

I swear people will never be happy no matter what.

No AI features? Get with the times man.

AI features? High treason.

Opt-out? Not good enough.

Opt-in? Nobody will use it.

Can't please everyone I guess.

I don't understand how people are even able to use discord in the first place.

Every time I try to make an account, something goes wrong.

  • endless captcha loops

  • stuck in preview mode forever, no joins to a server ever succeed

  • immediate inexplicable ban

  • phonewalls right after creating account

  • immediate ban after providing a real phone number, that has never been used for discord

  • "our automated system is working correctly, appeal denied"

I have tried multiple different desktop computers, tablets and mobile devices, across different browsers, ISPs, physical locations and operating systems, with nothing in common and no VPN/proxy or anything like that. For years. It just does. not. work.

But the RT patches have been available for 20 years... not sure why the fact that it is mainlined would suddenly expand its popularity? It might be easier to get started sure, but people doing RT were already going to such troubles anyway.

Possessing PII is not illegal... it's only a problem for whoever leaked it originally. This is why some sites regularly host doxx info and never get taken down, even after many legal demands.

I'm confused... is your "entire drive" wiped or no?

A new recall every two months is probably a world record.

2024 Mazdas have touchscreens, so much for that analog vision of theirs. And they have just as much telematics and always-connected privacy-invading tech as other makes.
