What platform are you on? My last sim/construction type game was Roller Coaster Tycoon about 20 years ago! I don't know what those games are like these days.

I tried Overwatch 2 and I didn't like the movement. Maybe it's because I play Destiny 2 which has pretty damn good movement and freedom of movement. Ow2 just felt slow and janky to me.

As for Deep Rock. Well first it has a 97% Overwhelmingly Positive rating on steam, out of 170k reviews. That's pretty insane! Second, I suspect it would be much better with friends/other people. Unfortunately there's no Crossplay :(

It's rainy and poopy here today so I'm going to practice my hermit skills and stay home and game all day.

My vote would be not to federate with them, for the reasons others have already said - privacy issues etc.

Personally one of the things I love about Lemmy/Fediverse is that it doesn't have any of that crap!

PoE is absolutely brutal, in so many ways. For me it's one of the charms. But man once you figure out builds the game changes.

Fellow Thunderer here. I've also tried out all the apps. I keep coming back to Thunder. It's clean.

I loved PoE too. Imo there's too much stuff in it. I haven't played it for a while but I look at a streamer and it looks like you can't even walk 2 meters without having 25 different zone/league events happen.

Don't forget about increasing the price of each season battle pass by just enough silver so you're forced to buy more silver than what you need. No new Gambit or PvP maps. Pay walling almost any "new" content (dungeon keys). I could keep going. But hey the seasonal story writing has been amazing.

I literally feel we're funding Marathon.
