I enjoy working and all. But it would be such a huuuge quality of life improvement to only work 6 hours a day or 4 day a week.

When asked about it, the spokesperson of the chancellor said something like even if the chancellor would make it his top priority he wouldn't be able to change the weather.

There is one point in it I found actually useful even today in everyday life. It was something like: When you have surrounded or entrapped your enemy always leave them a way out for retreat so they won't fight as hard as if their only other option is defeat/death.

I mean, it's not like we have turned away from nuclear power. There are still dozens of new plants being build every year worldwide.

Just a short personal progress report after roughly one year going european:

Changes:

  • Google search -> ecosia
  • Gmail -> proton mail
  • Google drive -> proton drive
  • Google calendar -> family wall
  • Google photos -> zeitkapsl
  • Google authenticator -> aegis
  • Amazon -> kaufland marketplace
  • Reddit -> fediverse (lemmy)
  • Pixel (because it stopped working) -> fairphone
  • Paypal -> sepa/wero/klarna

Quit without alternative:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Disney+

Still using:

  • Netflix (want to finish "better caul saul")
  • Google maps (too convenient for searching restaurants and shops)
  • Steam

Of course I am also conscious about groceries or other material purchases.
