You can play gen 1 and gen 2 on original hardware on 2x and even 3x speed. You can play them on Pokémon Stadium on Nintendo 64 which has special hardware to insert the Game Boy modules. You have to unlock the Doduo and Dodrio modes first by finishing parts of Stadium's tourneys but then you have an official way to play the original games sped up.

The Chu 2 are also great even though some might find the treble a bit much. Space Travel 2 appeal to a broader audience in my opinion and are a safer recommendation. The tws part is just a bonus in addition to the sound quality.

If you're open to try IEMs the Moondrop Space Travel 2 are insane value for the sound quality they offer.

I use IronFox which is on Accresent or hosts it's own F-Droid repository alternatively. To me that's even better than vanilla Firefox on F-Droid.
