Good morning everyone,

I have a phone with LineageOS right now, with a lot of apps installed and configured. I want to test out CarbonROM. However, if I don't like it, I want to be able to re-install Lineage and keep all the configuration that I have now. How can I do this?

what does async for do? or, how do async iterators in general work, because I'm pretty sure async for just helps you iterate on an async iterator.

I think async iterators have a method __anext__() which "steps through the iterable"? I don't understand what stepping through means.

Also __anext__() returns an awaitable? what does that mean, especially if I have something like an AsyncIterator[Object], what does the awaitable have to do with the object?

TLDR: Double Counter stores a bunch of semi personally identifiable information for the purpose of identifying you and your alt accounts!! be careful!!

Double Counter is a discord bot that detects alt accounts through a variety of techniques, including IP and browser fingerprinting, and probably others which I don't know of.

if your account is flagged, the information (with you and your suspected alt) is sent to the server moderators. they also have a paid service that you can subscribe to in order to search their database of discord profiles for alts.

the paid service is opt-out-able, using a command, but the command is not available in DMs so you will have to use it in a server with Double Counter in it, and some server channels don't allow it.

data deletion is only partially (it's only stated that they will delete your IP) and locked in their server, behind a 10 minute wait.

I just requested a copy of my data (which is sent by email, you have to fill in an email) but it hasn't arrived yet - apparently right now (August 5) that system is down

update: August 16, still down

anyways this whole thing screams red flags to me & if you get a message from it telling you to verify, use caution!!!! you have to click a link to get to the verify page, that's how it collects your information.

Recently, some interactive "demo" boxes (example here) in the MDN web docs stopped working on LibreWolf for me. The preview was blank and clicking on the buttons did nothing.

Turns out I had enabled "Limit cross-origin referrers" in settings, and unchecking the box allowed MDN to work normally.

I found an assist-esque setting to make extending hypers and supers easier! There's an 'extended variant' to turn off the dash regain cooldown, so that you don't have to wait on the ground for a bit before pressing jump. This means that all unextended hypers and supers become extended (i.e. you regain your dash after the technique).

You have to download the Extended Variants mod. Then, in Mod Settings, go to Extended Variants > movement > disable dash cooldown, and toggle it to ON.

Having instant extended tech will probably mess up your muscle memory for extended hypers or supers, so use it with care!

On a separate note, you can also try wavedashing.

A good practice map for extended hypers is 'Starry Ruins' from the Strawberry Jam mod, you can find it in the Advanced lobby. It's a short map but the last two rooms require doing extended hypers in a row, on small, falling platforms.

Exactly as the title says, where self-destructing means that no matter what email provider I, or my recipients use, the email will be gone after a set amount of time.

The methods I have come up with are:

• using a PrivateBin or PasteBin link.
  • requires the recipient to click on a link that opens in another app/tab
  • easy to set up
• using an HTML remote content stylesheet with CSS ::after to inject the body text of the email; then, if I control the server, I can delete the stylesheet and the email will be gone.
  • embedded in the email, but plain text only. I'm not even sure if it can do line breaks.
• loading an SVG from a remote source

Does anyone have more methods?

In what ways do y'all use the telescope when playing through a map?

Me; I tend to skip it and go straight into platforming. If I encounter a segment that I can't get past, I'll use the telescope to view and think about it.

If I have a very thin piece of scar tissue on my skin, and then I surgically cut the skin open right along the middle of the scar, and ensure that I do all the best scar healing practises (like holding the skin on either side of the wound together), what will happen? Will the scar get smaller or bigger?
