They’re saying you misspelled it.
That would be really strange if it was tied to Internet speed. I have a unifi setup and we have synchronous gigabit internet. Also both our gaming computers are wired so they normally get 800-1000mbps.
From what I can tell it’s literally just hl being badly optimized. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason
One thing I did discover is that you need at least 32gb of ram. It still stutters, but was less.
I didn't know job titles were gatekeeping. Do you think that a fry cook at your restaurant is also a gamedev because they happen to feed the person making the games? It has nothing to do with gatekeeping, it has to do with "words have meanings". You don't just get to decide you're a gamedev because you want to be, that doesn't make sense.
You have to select what you want to share. Here’s what it looks like when I try to share my contact card.
The fiduciary duty of the board was not profit. They’re required by charter to make sure the company advances ai safely. 4 of the board members have no investment in the company at all.
Knight Capital Group lost $440 million in just 45 minutes due to a repurposed feature flag.

Kinda makes the att one seem tiny in comparison.
If you use CloudFlare as your proxy then all your instances traffic gets routed through CF before ever making it to your server. If someone tries to upload CSAM it will immediately be flagged (before ever making it to your server). CloudFlare then quarantines it and automatically files a report with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. There’s more to the prices, but the point is that putting it in the lemmy software is not a good solution, especially when industry standard proven solutions already exist. You don’t have to use CF. You can also use solutions from Google, FB, Microsoft, Thorn, etc.
Hmm, npm can take up to five minutes for me. I usually just leave it alone and go do other stuff. And I have fiber internet, so it’s not download speed that’s the problem.
I too can afford anything I want and I still pirate. A lot of the time it’s just not even possible to find something on a streaming service I actually pay for and I’m honestly sick of giving corporations my information when I want to buy something and then they turn around and sell it immediately so I get so much spam. At that point it’s not about not being able to afford it. It’s that the media companies are so greedy they can’t just take a simple payment without trying to turn it into something more. At that point it’s pointless to try and get something legitimately.
I had been considering Athena, but it's quite a leap I thought. @fubo@lemmy.world said Hephaestus is the god of automation and I think that's pretty dope. Of course, Athena is pretty good too. That's the name of one of my cats!
Definitely. I’m pretty sure they modified the code to look as bad as possible just to take the photo though. You can clearly see all the lines are marked as modified in the gutter.

High frequency? The lines don’t move at all. Just the masking of the player above them. There’s literally no frequency rate at which they are changing.
