Buy a used Herman Miller. I know someone linked a gamers nexus video before, but you really really do not realize how bad most chairs are until you sit for ten hours straight in a Herman Miller, and have zero pain afterwards. And then that chair will last you several decades. There’s a reason they are constantly for sale. Those chairs literally outlast businesses.

It’s not compliant. You might be serving eu citizens living in other countries. I’ve had to implement gdpr regs for a US only company. This isn’t compliant with GDPR.

Dude it’s not argumentation by gotcha, whatever the fuck that is. All I have to go on is what you said. I don’t know anything else about you, your one comment is all the context I get. What you said and what you clearly meant seem to be two different things.

Damn. You got me.

Oh sorry I guess I didn’t really expand on that. Part of why I like bird watching is that all (almost all) of the apps to identify birds are free. But then you have to actually be able to input parameters and stuff. So then you need to be able to pick out small details in a split second at a very long range. Even then, sometimes it’s not possible without help from others. So bird photography helps with the identification (and scientific study) of the birds.

But yeah. Bird photography is the expensive part.

I have detailed why in plenty of my other comments. Here is one. https://programming.dev/comment/2426720

You didn’t say that was a requirement. You said

All in all, I will stop using Brave in a heartbeat if there is anyone else providing any alternative with a slight chance to fight Surveillance capitalism

Both of those browsers accomplish that.

Yeah it’s great! We compile it into native code and deploy it as lambdas on aws. It’s actually faster than most nodejs lambdas. I love it!

Use Kagi. DDG is terrible for actually getting results.

[-] snowe@programming.dev 2 points 3 years ago

Are you typing the character or using markdown to accomplish that?

[-] snowe@programming.dev 2 points 3 years ago

I wasn’t talking just touchscreen keyboards. On Mac you just hold option and you can type almost all of those letters. I do understand your point though. Thanks for explaining
