Modern EVs charge in less than 15 minutes so.. it’s really not longer than a gas stop, at least not in any situation I’ve been in and I own two gas vehicles and an ev. Like I literally get 200+ miles of range in 15 minutes. Your numbers are just way way way off.

I’m sorry but you’re just really really really misinformed here. There are plenty of aaa charging services if you get stuck, but you’re not gonna get stuck cuz EVs are good about letting you know if you’re gonna be in trouble.

You can replace almost all aspects of oh my zsh just by using fish shell. Like straight out of the box it does most of it. I switched off of a completely customized zsh (oh my zsh didn’t do enough for me) and fish is able to do everything I did with my custom zsh setup.

I wasn't blaming your language skills, all I was saying is that the only thing I have to go on here is what you've written in this thread. I'm not going into your profile and reading every comment you make so if you have something else in there that I need context on then it's not really a language issue, just a context one.

And yes you are completely right. There are no better alternatives for worldwide micropayments. I don't think crypto is the answer (in fact I've written quite a number of very very long comments over the years on all of the stuff that crypto claims to solve and doesn't), but it would be nice to have a solution to it.

from what I've read, a lot of the problems are caused by inefficient sql queries. Changing my db settings massively helped because people were getting timeouts constantly for some reason, even though my metrics only showed like 10% usage. I want to contribute, but just haven't had time yet. Thankfully with an entire programming community, we should definitely be able to make lemmy a lot better.
