I’ve never needed 15 minutes to get gas. As long as there’s an open pump, if all I’m doing is gassing up, it’s 5 minutes, if that.

on road trips that's all your doing? You're not going in for a bathroom break and to buy snacks? Somehow I highly doubt that and even if you are you are in the minority. There's a reason they're called rest stops out on long stretches of roads, they're not just for gas.

But if I need a new car in the next 5 years, I’m not even considering one, and most of the reasons for that are reasons that proponents are acknowledging, even as they’re trying to be patronizing and condescending and shaming anyone who points out valid drawbacks.

It’s not like people are saying EVs are bad, just that the reality of the situation right now is that, for many, deciding to switch over to one from an ICE will mean, in some ways, changing the ways they live around the limitations and necessities that come with the EV, and that for many, these changes tip the scales away from the EV.

This is also incorrect, unless you are towing things. Like I said before. This is just a bunch of FUD.

I always think all the arguments are ridiculous because it’s essentially saying that someone is pronouncing a product (not a word) that they created incorrectly. This product even has a catchphrase for it. There’s literally nothing you can say to contradict that. It’s a product with a catchphrase that describes how to pronounce it. CR is the only one placing Tesla that high. Other surveys have placed tesla almost dead last in reliability, with a Which? survey stating that 1/20 teslas have problems failing to start and 2/5ths having major problems otherwise. I literally haven't seen a single other survey besides CR placing Tesla that 'high' (is middle of the pack good now?), and it's pretty apparent it's because they consider anything the respondent tells them as a failure as an actual failure, even if it's just a feature that the person doesn't like. For example, the slow acceleration in Eco mode on the Ioniq 5 (which I absolutely love, and is perfect for luxury driving) was complained about so much that Hyundai was forced to release a TSB to 'fix' it, even though those users could have just used a different mode and gotten the results they desired. That counts as a 'problem' to CR. Clearly that's not what a problem is. A problem is things like the seatbelts not working or the steering wheels falling off

Two million is hardly anything for retirement. If you’re in your 50s then that’s only 66k a year until you’re 80. Unless you’re about to die that’s an absolute pittance. If you’re younger then that’s even less per year. You can’t think of retirement as “oh I only need this much money”, you have to think of it as paying yourself your yearly salary until you die. Life expectancy has massively gone up, so has inflation. If you live to 65 in the USA you have an average extra expected years of 15-20, so up to 85 years life expectancy in certain states. If you’re retiring at 30 you’ll be looking at 55 years of paying yourself. If you want a decent “salary” you’re looking at at least 5.5 million.

You clearly don’t have many health problems. Not reclining the seat makes my arthritis flare up so bad I can barely walk, due to many airlines making their seats pretty much vertical. And if it didn’t make things more comfortable then why in the world would people even bother leaning their seats back at all? Have you ever considered maybe you’re the outlier here?

Probably best you instead get seats with more leg room rather than blaming it on people leaning their seats back. Just like larger people should be buying two seats per airline rules, it’s just easier to either get an exit row seat or pay extra for a row with more room.
