man, this was a RANT if I've ever seen one.

I personally think vim keybinding is the most ergonomic way to use the computer and navigate/write text/code, And the default keymaps for Emacs can be pretty un-ergonomic.

So I've been slowly trying with doom emacs. Although, I really don't have any problems with Neovim and I have honed my configs over many years.

I'm also a lisp lover (like everybody else here) and so I config my Neovim with fennel. So if lisp is your main reason, that's also an option.
