Francis Shelden founded Brother Paul's Christian Mission and worked with Adam Starchild, Dyer Grossman and Gerald Richards to abuse underprivileged boys, create and distribute CSAM from North Fox Island in Lake Michigan.

Gerald Richards was arrested and testified in a congressional hearing about the CSAM industry in 1977 in which he laid out the network of organizations that facilitated the creation and distribution of material, the sourcing of victims and legal entities to protect the offenders.

Shelden was also linked to the Boys' Farm run by Claudius "Bud" Vermilye where the same child abuse scheme was being run.

More infamously, Shelden and Richards became linked to the Oakland County Child Killer case, where four children were kidnapped and murdered in the late 70s. Officially unsolved, it was linked to Christopher Busch, son of H Lee Busch, an executive at General Motors, Christopher was a known child abuser who was arrested in the midst of the murder spree, admitted to cruising for victims in the locations where previous victims had last been seen, and was released by L Brooks Patterson, a DA who would later win a Republican Party Lifetime Achievement Award. 'The Snow Killings' book and doc cover the case.

Cathy Broad is victim Tim King's sister, and she has continued to document her attempts to get justice for her brother on her blog, and wrote a book about official attempts to silence her and victims' families called 'Guarded by Jackals'.

And none of the above even touches on any of their connections to Roy Ames, Guy Strait, John David Norman etc.

So much of this is public, and has been for decades.

In 1988, state and federal authorities began looking into allegations that prominent citizens of Nebraska, as well as high-level U.S. politicians, were involved in a child prostitution ring.[3] Alleged abuse victims were interviewed, who claimed that children in foster care were flown to the East Coast of the United States to be sexually abused.[4]

The accusations primarily centered on Lawrence E. King Jr., who ran the now defunct Franklin Community Federal Credit Union in Omaha, Nebraska, and alleged that King hosted "lavish parties at which minors were sexually abused".[3][5][6] King was a rising figure, donor, and powerbroker in the Republican Party before the investigation, singing the National Anthem at the 1984 Republican National Convention and spending $100,000 on parties for the 1988 convention.[7] King had a luxurious lifestyle, chartering private jets and limousines and wearing expensive clothes and jewellery, including a $69,000 watch seized after he went into court-ordered receivership.[7] He also owned multiple houses and businesses in Nebraska, alongside a house near Embassy Row, Washington, D.C., which he rented.[5][7] The Franklin Credit Union was raided by authorities investigating the embezzlement of over $38 million in November 1988

Yes, that sounds an awful lot like Epstein, but it must be a conspiracy... no-one would ever sexually exploit poor foster kids for the wealthy...

Well, sure, Claudius "Bud" Vermilye did it with his Boys' Farm for wayward youth in Tennessee, but this Franklin one sounds too far fetched, shipping poor kids across the country on planes...

Well, sure, John David Norman did it with the Delta Project, the Odyssey Foundation, and probably more of his organizations, but it's not like he'd kill anyone, unlike his partner and former employee of John Wayne Gacy - Philip Paske...

Still, we're getting off topic, this Franklin thing couldn't be true, just because it sounds a lot like what Francis Shelden, Gerald Richards, Adam Starchild and Dyer Grossman set up with Brother Paul's Children's Mission, doesn't mean that there is anything to it.

Nothing to see here, just some more satanic panic, am I right!?!?!?!?!

I don't know of an "out-of-the-box" distro for multimedia outside of Ubuntu Studio, but I do know of a utility that will turn any distro into a low-latency, pro audio setup: rtcqs - it runs 10-12 tests on your system and tells you how to set it up for realtime audio, if it isn't already - this is very much NOT what you asked for, but if you get your system going but it's not performing like you expect, this could be the thing that fixes all your issues.

Fantasy Girls: Don't Need 'Em?

Someone forgot about the time that an alien read Riker's mind to provide him with his perfect woman.

Did it pick Troi, his life-long love interest?

No, because what he wanted was Minuet, a Fantasy Girl created for him on the Holodeck.

I don't doubt the rest of it, but Riker is very clearly into Fantasy Girls

I'm going to add Broadcom to your list, but otherwise it is a great, concise explanation of the root issues behind why some users will struggle with older hardware while others will have no issues.
