I've had good luck with US Mobile so far

People stopped using reddit too and here we are, so not all folks stopped

Ive only got one gripe with it and its the requirement for RCS. I do prefer to use signal but genuinely only one person I know has gotten on to it. I hate using google messages but for folks that send me bulk pictures from iOS its just a hassle until there's a Foss one that works but there isnt to my knowledge. I do know RCS only works on the main profile goo

Since the start of covid it has gotten larger use in negative light stateside. So seeing it I immediately jump to, oh god jabs here we go again with negative vaccination terminology. I wasn't aware of its use though in UK, that's good to know. I appreciate the clarity on it

Holy fork, got the Edmund Fitzgerald in your setup lmao

Would love If these shilled news sites wouldn't use the negative terms like jab, though this is fantastic news

I have been seeing shoelace infographics since I was a teen on ifunny, and only 14 years later do I finally get to find out where its from!

I just finished it. I feel that rush feeling everyone else is feeling, I worn deny that was a bit disappointing but all in all I felt it was good for denji and especially since we have power back, as well as nayuta and even seeing that last glimpse. I'll miss reading it all, and experiencing it but I'm glad it was fun.

Thank you for the suggestions! I've just gone and installed half your recommendations after reading them.

IronFox having uBlock Origin offered at first time setup was so premium that was so nice.

Howdy everyone! I'm happy to say I've finally gotten off the iOS ecosystem and loaded into grapheneos! Does anyone have any recommendations for apps to get? I've been away for a long time and saw tachiyomi was killed so I've lost my edge on apps for this side of the mobile space. Currently I've got: F-droid (god I'm happy this has never died) Aurora store Obtanium Mihon (I think this might be a successor to tachiyomi) And the fossify communication apps (phone, messages, contacts) But let this also be a good thread for others like me having privacy back in their lives, even if a slow transition like mine.

Howdy folks, I’ve been working on getting more privacy, and I want my phone to be next. I just wish that the pixels and fairphones were cheaper, especially the fair phone. I know grapheneOS can be considered one of the more secure builds, but are there other more budget friendly devices known stateside that can run alt OSs?

Hello fediverse! I’m looking to find out how I can see more locally made products so I can avoid purchasing big corp in the states. I’ve found offer up 5e app, but I’m curious if there is better local marketplace applications similar to Etsy for a small area? I don’t wanna use big tech marketplace and my experience with Craigslist has been less than ideal. If there nothing that exists then I’d love to hear tips on how to find local items as an introvert.

Howdy selfhosters

I’ve got a bit of an interesting one that started as a learning experience but it’s one I think I got a bit over my head in. I had been running the arr stack via docker-compose on my old Ubuntu desktop pc. I got lucky with a recycler and managed to get a decent old workstation and my company tossed out some 15 SAS hdds. Thankfully those worked. I managed to get the proxmox setup finally and got a few drives mounted in a zfs pool that plex presently reads from. I unfortunately failed to manage to save a last backup copy of my old stack, however that one I’ll admit was a bit messy with using gluetun with a vpn tie to a German server for p2p on the stack. I did preserve a lot of my old data though as a migration for the media libraries.

I’m open to suggestions to have the stack running again on proxmox on the work station, I’m not sure how best to go about it with this since accessing a mount point is only accessible via lxc containers and I can’t really figure how to pass the zfs shares to a vm. I feel like I’m over complicating this but needing to maintain a secure connection since burgerland doesn’t make for the best arr stack hosts in my experience. It feels a bit daunting as I’ve tried to tackle it and give a few LLMs to write me up some guidelines to make it easier but I seemed to just not be able to make that work to teach me.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter wants more ICE agents in Atlanta.

Carter, a Republican who represents the 1st congressional district on the southeast Georgia coast, sent a letter to acting ICE Administrator Todd Lyons and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday, asking them to “increase federal law enforcement resources” in Atlanta.

Carter claimed there’s an “urgent need for an enhanced ICE presence in Atlanta,” writing that the federal agents would “protect citizens against record levels of illegal immigrants” and “confront safety concerns.”

“Residents are clamoring for additional federal support, which would greatly assist state and local partners in maintaining public safety and ensuring that immigration laws are properly upheld,” Carter wrote.

He added, “Increasing enforcement presence would help deter unlawful entry, disrupt illegal networks, and uphold the rule of law. A stronger federal role would also help prevent the very real public safety risks that criminals pose and restore confidence in the system designed to keep us safe.”

Carter cited two recent metro Atlanta murder cases that allegedly involved undocumented immigrants, including the killing of a mother of five.

Carter, a self-described “MAGA warrior,” is one of several Republican candidates hoping to unseat Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff in next year’s midterm elections.

Howdy folks,

I’ve come upon a solid amount of 4tb drives, 8 SAS drives for dirt cheap from a local biz. Never used. I saw a HP ProLiant DL385p Gen8 Server on eBay for $80 and thought it was a score since it had been the best deal. I’d been wanting to upgrade off my think center m710. Curious any recommendations for this? My current setup is as follows:

Main server:

Lenovo think center m710

16gb, gt 1030, 2 4tb HDD sata, one 500gb ssd sata

Ubuntu lts

Docker compose

  • Arr stack -Gluetun with open on proton in Germany -qbittorrent -sonarr -radarr -Overseer -cleanuparr -prowlarr -plex -navidrome -audiobookshelf -Minecraft server (modded: neoforge itzg) -immich -bunch of others that aren’t fully working like tatuli or plex wrapped

Secondary Thinkpad x220 (loved this shit through college) 16gbRAM, 250ssd sata Arch Docker compose -searxng -pihole dns

I’m still looking in to some security system ideas as I’d like to use some storage and maybe do that with some of it. Or some cybersecurity projects or a banned book library or something. I’m open to any suggestions to help this go as smooth as I can make it and as fun as it can be.

Good day folks, my company recently gave me some hardware, one in particular I’m curious if there are any real use cases for it. I’m not particularly well with networking. This device is a Cisco Meraki MX64. I saw it doesn’t support open WRT so I’m curious if there are any other known projects or alternative software that could run on it. I’d love to toss it in with my network stack but all I have now is just a switch that it’ll plug in to but would love to replace e switch with it.
