They are making the chips, building the data centers and collecting the data. None of those are the missing piece. The missing piece is being able to actually turn a profit from that entire pipeline.

I'll give KDE a try again when they provide a way to track all of my settings via dotfiles. I tinker with shit a lot and I need the ability to track it all with a VCS. I've always kept KDE as a backup but its accrued so much config junk over a decade that its actually a pretty janky experience, and I'm not comfortable just nuking all my dotfules.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.

They're already ignoring it. They just don't want to admit their ignoring it.

Iran has been extremely measured in their responses in the past decade. Israel clearly wants the US to get involved so Iran isn't going to involve them. I suspect their comfortable with making Israelis feel like Palestinians for once because I don't think Israelis will tolerate this for much longer.

That's completely wrong. Many states moved their capital away from population centers on the coast into more geographically central locations inland. Other states deliberately planned their capitals to be in central locations when it was already clear where the population centers were going to be.

If anything the capital city only grows and becomes the population center. Population never drifts away from the capital.

The former. 125% for China, 10% for "everyone who didn't retaliate"

Read the rest of the comment. They weren't talking about the $20bn number being wrong.

There's also an entire industry around mass producing this content and deliberately gaming the algorithm.

The article title is poorly written but the conclusion is pretty sound: If you're planning on writing unsafe code, use a language meant for unsafe code. Zig is meant for unsafe code, Rust isn't.

There's vastly worse billionaires than Taylor Swift. Idk what Swifties on Lemmy you're trying to trigger. Thompson wasn't even billionaire but I'd say he was worse than Swift.
