If I can pick my own API (including local) and sampling parameters

You can do this now:

  • selfhost ollama.
  • selfhost open-webui and point it to ollama
  • enable local models in about:config
  • select "local" instead of ChatGPT or w/e.

Hardest part is hosting open-webui because AFAIK it only ships as a docker image.

Edit: s/openai/open-webui

I think the overtightened heatsink theory is correct. I got it for an LGA1155 motherboard and it needed an adaptor for AM4 which has no safety springs so you can just keep tightening it with no indication of what's too tight.

There's also some sort of dirt on the center left edge that I cleaned out after taking this. I just used isopropyl and a softened (used) toothbrush. After doing that I got a channel of memory back. There's three sticks in the pic because I was trying to determine which channel was bad.

Update: Wow cleaning that bit of gunk really made a difference. I'm back to using the original Ryzen 5700. Really weird that it wasn't an issue in the old build.

You would absolutely get brutally tortured and killed for far less under the shah's rule. What absolute historical ignorance. You're like a Cuban pining for the days of Bautista.

We would easily be able to tell if an Alexa was constantly streaming audio data by monitoring its network traffic. It'd be just a wasteful inefficient implementation to stream everything 24/7. Makes much more sense to only start recording when it hears certain keywords that it can recognize locally beyond "Alexa".

You don't have to replace them next election with a far left candidate, just one that won't betray the party like those two shit-heads. You run the risk of losing the seat to the GOP but it was half GOP anyways and its worth it to maintain party discipline. Kick two senators out and no other senator is going to risk their career disobeying the party.

Also what this utter nonesense about maintaining the filibuster? It can be removed with a simple majority and the GOP does so whenever they have that majority. Its been that way for decades. Saying "It'd be nice if the GOP kept the filibuster when they were in power so we will keep it when we're in power." is absolute bullshit. Democrats aren't naiive idealists, they just want excuses to not do what their voters want.

Who cares? Stack it until its a bigger joke than it already is. Its a wildly undemocratic institution.

He's clearly on Peter Theil's payroll. Theil personally bankrolled Vance's senate campaign and was the only one Theil funded that was successful.

If you keep making up conspiracy theories that every Republican takes orders from Putin, you're going to miss their actual agenda. Shit like Project2025 isn't Putin's agenda. Thats a Koch project. Theil's got his own techno libertarian eugenicist project that Vance is an acolyte of.

I think you're taking "coup" here too literally. Its implied that it'll be a political coup, not an actual violent one.

Thats just their general movement. Not their explicit demands for the blockade.

North Vietnam only recognized south Vietnam under international threat. Besides, if Buchanan had signed such a treaty before Lincoln entered office would you then have sided with the south? Are treaties really the moral arbiter in this situation?

Point is you can't really "invade" your own country. They're both Vietnam. The north had a moral duty to support their oppressed brethren in the south. If that means sending troops to support then so be it. Claiming moral outrage over this because they "invaded" their own country is a childish form of morality that strips all historical context.
