I'n not even done with the first season, just finished The Keys of Marinus. For Marco Polo I watched the 30 minutes reconstruction, thought the pacing was alright.

I'll love to watch it when I'll be done watching Classic Who for the first time (won't be for a while though haha)

I have a YouTube Premium family plan spread between me, my brothers and our mom, only reason why I bother

Another advantage that I just thought about : Shelf consistency

Since remastered versions of DS9 and VOY aren't happening any time soon, I think the next best thing should be a SD-BD release, kinda like how Discotek Media are doing with some old anime titles

The advantages :

  • Better video quality, since higher bitrate
  • Better audio quality compared to DVDs
  • More episodes per disc

What would you think about such a release?

This fall I'm planning to watch the Star Trek TOS movies with some friends on discord, as well as a few episodes of TOS/TAS to introduce the characters/setting/etc. So basically I'm searching for recommendations for episodes to watch

The episodes I'm already planning :

  • Space Seed (since we'll be watching Wrath of Khan)
  • The City on the Edge of Forever
  • Yesteryear

If you have more episodes recommendations, I'd love to hear about them 😁

Love that list, although the first 10 movies are available in 4K, not just in HD. Same with Strange New Worlds.

Discovery has problems (I still like that show), but being woke it not one of them...
