They might be wrong though since the error is probably not random but relatively consistent.
So it wouldn't be an ideal scale to measure mass, but could still be a useful tool to measure weight gain or loss.
I have heard that "fact" many times before, but when I once had to actually clean something with chlorine that I was positive didn't have pee on it, it still smelled like swimming pool, so idk anymore if that is actually true.
