Recorded and written reports are the backbone of accountability.

Don't want to get fucked by the legal system because you have neglected your duties? Don't neglect your duties. Do the reporting, do the paper work.

Using LLM in such reports should be equivalent of perjury. Use LLMs to create bullet points, turn that into a draft (or just submit the bullet points, because someone is likely to feed the report back into an LLM to turn it into bullet points).
But know that you are (or should be) accountable for every last word on that report!

It's referring to binary blobs. A windows exe might be a binary blob.
These are distributed compiled. Even if the project is open sources, the binary blob might have been generated by a compromised compiler.

This is one of the reasons the XZ Utils compromisation went unnoticed for so long. One of the compressed files used for testing contained malicious code that would be included in the build artefacts (IE, the final compiled binary) under very narrow and specific circumstances.

At one point, blue LEDs were super expensive because of their difficult production.
So any product that has a blue LED was considered premium. I guess they were also considered futuristic and high-tech.
Somehow, this is still in the mind of some manufacturers.
All I want is a barely-visible-in-soft-daylight diffused/frosted red or amber LED.
