CI/CD just became a lot harder when every container needs the users age verified. Not just configured, verified.

Windows media center was really really good for live TV.

I hope it's sensible with regards to tobacco derived products (ie nicotine).
I used vaping to quit smoking. And I'm now on the nicotine pouches and have quit vaping.
I know I'm just swapping 1 addiction for another, but each has significantly reduced the risk to me and those around me.

But if the pouches do get more expensive, I'm sure there's some nicorette or some other official/medical nicotine thing I can swap to. I assume they won't get a tax increase (cause if they do, then the tax is stupid)

That's a great rundown with decent logic & examples behind each point.

I think the biggest point is the takeoff weight.

If the impact/evac/safety aspects can be addressed, the only way I can see it working is to add a "cattle class" that's like $10 cheaper than current economy and has something like 40 "seats".
Then increase the price of what is currently economy class by $10-20.
You lose $400 because of the new cheaper class, but gain $1,200 to $2,400 by increasing the price of economy (considering a 160 seat plane, and convert 40 seats to standing). So, net gain $800-2000. Let's you advertise new cheaper fares, and the price increase isn't hugely egregious when the 40 seats sell out instantly.
I guess it doesn't work on less busy flights if only the 40 cheap seats sell

Anyone not toeing the line will be declared unamerican.

Such a small step.

"Well yeh, of course these illegals that want to stay in our country will demand a court ruling. Our jails are better than their shitty country, so any delay for them is worthwhile, and we can't possibly process all of them" sorta rhetoric.

And suddenly shit like speeding (or speaking poorly of the government) can be declared unamerican, and the person - essentially - disappeared.

It's one banana, Michael. What could it cost, $10?

This one is well matured, barrel aged with hints and aromas beyond my palette.
A rare meme in these times, to be sure.

Musk is only "America first" because it's the best place for his business.
He now essentially owns the government.
He has paid a shit ton for the election. He has government contracts.
Elon Musk is America.

When (some) people realise what Elon Musk actually is, what America actually is, they are gonna be disgusted (I know that there are a lot of people that already see this).

America should be awesome.
But it has sold out

If they are on the same subnet, why are they going via the router? Surely the NIC/OS will know it's a local address within its subnet, and will send it directly; as opposed to not knowing where to send the packet, so letting the router deal with it.

I'm assuming you are using a standard 24 bit subnet mask, because you haven't provided anything that indicates otherwise and the issue you present would be indicative of a local link being used - this possible

I did a quick Google.
https://web.eece.maine.edu/~vweaver/group/green_machines.html

Is the best actual test data I can find. It uses a physical power meter, so it's full system (not TDP or self reporting power consumption).
And it's a few years out of date.
Seems like Apple silicon is the winner (and will probably continue to be).
The Xeon that beats the rpi4 for GFLOPS/watt is an e5v3, which was launched in 2013 and EOL in 2021.
So there will absolutely be some new Xeon CPUs that will perform better.

However, for a $50 device, it's probably the best GFLOPS/watt/$ from what little empirical data I can find

Using the number she phoned the police from, they tracked the phone.
I'm not certain that a tower ping is as accurate as "apartment 1, 42 wallaby way, Sydney", but it would probably get them close to 42 wallaby way, Sydney.
While officers were en-route, the billing address could have been found for that number for a more precise location.
Perhaps there were other indicators from the phone call.
Perhaps this wasn't the first call to emergency services, so that number has previous callout addresses. One of which aligned with the tower ping.
Or perhaps there were enough officers in the area to check everything quickly, and we are only seeing the footage of the successful response.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_phone_tracking

Qualified services can get access to a phones position down to a 50m accuracy, depending on how much network infrastructure there is in the area. This doesn't need any access/permission to/from the phone. It is done solely from the network infrastructure, and relies on the power/timing of signals to/from the phone. IE triangulation/trilateration.
The US treats this under the 4th amendment, however there are likely fast-paths for 911 call responses. Certainly, other countries waive similar privacy rights when there is an imminent threat to life.

Their in house games also have a very... "Nintendo" feel.
Like, it's obviously a Nintendo game. And I feel like that is their game plan.
Make a console that suites their IP. It doesn't need to be flashy, it doesn't need streaming 32k textures or whatever. It needs to do the Nintendo Thing™.

I wonder if that will change for the next gen, considering the 3rd party market picking up some big names (Skyrim, Fortnite, GTA). Maybe they will make a more capable system to monetize more on these possibilities
