Single issue voters heads explode

I remember when the first looks at (or poster of) the sonic movie came out, and it was ripped to shreds.
A prominent visual redesign of sonic went viral, and - credit where credits due - the studio reworked the movie to adopt the changes.

Human teeth? I mean, really?

\ instead of / is really annoying.
I recently had to do a template variable replace is batch, resulting in a JSON config file for another program.
A bunch of paths and stuff. And the variables I was substituting in were also used in batch cmds.
It was a pain figuring out when and where to escape or not-escape backslashes.

Is that http2? Cause http2 allows for reuse of a connection for additional requests.

This caught me out with envoy reverse proxy doing a few subdomains using a wildcard cert.
The browser would reuse the connection cause the cert authority and IP was the same, but envoy couldn't figure out how to route the request correctly. Absolute head scratcher!

Just point to the dictionary. "Draw your own conclusions, bro"

Sounds like a long-awaited race condition finally coalescing.
The boot splash screen would expect the drivers to be ready, and will hang/timeout if it isn't ready when it tries to render the splash screen

The lack of informed consent is what makes this unethical.
Informed consent is a key aspect of clinical trials

Yeh, freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences.

A permit from the city (and good planning) helps mitigate those consequences (safety for protesters and public) so there should be no reason to prosecute you for organising a protest. If something does go wrong, you have protection because you have done everything correctly.

You can absolutely shout "fire" in a theatre.
But if its without cause and it creates a panic/injuries/whatever, then you are responsible for what happens.
You won't be prosecuted for shouting "fire", that's free speech. You will be prosecuted for causing a panic, that's the consequences of your free speech.

But scriptkiddies and automated scans are not a security threat. If they were a legitimate threat to your server, you have bigger problems.
All it does is reduce log chatter.

Anyone actually wanting in would port scan, then try and connect to each port, and quickly identify an SSH port

Any first person game that has lens flare.
Eyes dont have lens flare. Cameras do. Cinematic cutscenes, thats fine. 3rd person cameras, thats fine - if it isnt over done. Hell, even some super bright thing in first person, where lens flare is used as a cinematic effect to show it is seriously fucking bright, that can be fine.
But generally speaking, lens flare is overused in video games. Pretty sure it was BF3 that took it from "huh, we can do lens flare" to "lens flare indiscriminatly"

My dad tells a similar story of an offshore oilrig person giving a tour to some C-Suite type people. His alarm goes off, and he pauses the tour to throw an oily rag on the floor. 5 minutes later the rig supervisor person steps out of their office, looks around, shouts about oily rags and health&safety risks, then goes back into their office.
With a similar "punchline" about giving the supervisor something obvious to complain about

So, perhaps call it an "oily rag"?
