I hope the Chinese company isn't just buying the brand name, but actually buying the company.
IE, will continue to do excellent beyerdynamic things.
But I doubt it. I don't know if an audio company that got better after an acquisition. Cheaper, maybe. Better bamg-for-buck, yup. But actually better? Not that I can think of.

As opposed to what Behringer/Music Tribe did to Midas: Midas made extremely well respected kit; Behringer buys them (except it was Music Group, now Music Tribe); midas stuff becomes shittier; behringer stuff becomes a little bit better.
Sucks for anyone that bought a Pro series console. Pretty much a boat anchor after 5 years.

I just want 12 tonnes of strawberry flavoured whipped cream, dude.
That's why I need such a big bottle of N2O. I'm a culinary genius

Be the change. Make a dockerfile for it.
Follow the kbin install instructions, but convert them to dockerfile syntax.
Build it and push to docker.io or ghcr.io or whatever flavour you want.
Its a great learning experience, and containerisation is a huge part of the future (and present)

That said, some apps rather than sending your device the actual notification

Pretty sure that is actually the recommendation from apple/google, as it reduces bandwidth for their notification servers.
I think the message payload is severely limited.
Like, pre-ios8 the limit was 256 bytes. Now it's 2kb.

A Tory is the Conservative Party.
They are to the right. Although, if it's US politics you are used to they would probably be considered center or old-school right - not this new Right bullshit that's prevalent these days

Our laws are currently fairly inline with EU laws. It's less work to fully align them now than in 10 years, when the Tories have fully dismantled workers/privacy/consumer/human rights.

And I have no issue with the Euro. We still get to do our own artwork on the notes/coins.
We clearly need immigration to cover the jobs people don't want to do, despite the fact that the "they took our jobs" group would whine about work they personally don't want to do being done by others.
It would simplify and clear up our trade, just-in-time logistics for all manor of things, and likely put the UK in a better position as an "English speaking HQ of Europe" for companies.

Ultimately tho, theres going to be a decade of shit to wade through before any potential benefits of Brexit actually come around.
This was a huge talking point about Scottish Independence ("yeh, but you'd be fucked" "oh sure, but after 5-10 years we would be in a better position"). It's fair to say the same applies to brexit (although the benefits of brexit are a lot less apparent to me)

A "raw" RSS feeder will fetch the RSS entries and display them for you.

I presume paid features are meta around the RSS feeds.
So you could add your own notes to the items.
You could have groups/categories of items beyond just grouping by their source.
The service might fetch/cache them automatically, whereas a free one might not have an "always on" type functionality and might miss posts if it's not pulling ever month or whatever (same, with errors).
On top of that, if another user on the service is subscribed to an RSS feed, you might be able to access the feeds history (beyond the timescale/history the feed keeps published).
The service might be able to highlight and alert you to updated posts, showing the difference between the revisions.
The service might also be able to recommend similar RSS feeds based on other users interests, aiding in discovery.
And all of this would by automatically synchronised between devices.

I guess at this point, it's inevitable.
But I really worry when these plastic eating bacteria/fungi/whatever become prevalent.
Because there is a lot of plastic everywhere. And some of it is better if it isn't destroyed/consumed (like medical equipment, plumbing, etc)
