I had someone here on lemmy literally tell me that history doesn’t matter and we shouldn’t pay attention to it. The ignorance was fucking astounding.
It’s not worse. It’s carbon neutral (as long as the energy source is renewable like the sun). Any carbon it takes in will be released exactly back to where it was. It’s a much much better option than digging up oil.
On top of that, there are currently no likely possibilities of replacing gasoline for things like planes. So replacing their gas with carbon neutral gas will improve the situation by 100%.
But why… you will hit your hands on the edge when you try to wash them. I hate these kinds of faucets, there’s literally no way to put your hands under them without smacking them into the sink. And I have small hands!!!
Report them. Your state has an office for this, you can also report them to the FCC which actually has been doing stuff for the past few years.

I lost my job a few months ago and so I’ve had an inordinate amount of free time and it made me realize the same thing. Even with essentially infinite time I can’t get everything that needs to be done, done.

This happens in every major mastodon thread. Someone claims something without even bothering to research it like the person below did. They make an incredibly big deal about it with tons of claims (which are almost all untrue) and then it gains traction and anyone who doesn’t bother to research now believes something completely untrue.

Cause it is. They say they read all the source code, it’s 500k lines and it leaked yesterday. So either they’re lying, or they’re a robot. Or both. Likely both.
