Exactly what I thought. These things are the height of a kid, you shouldn’t be driving if you can’t see it. Also someone else pointed out that road lines are on the ground and don’t stick up and if you can’t see the barrier then you can’t see road lines and you absolutely shouldn’t be on the road.

Protractors? That must be a typo, right?
Yep exactly this. Even though the grocery store is extremely close to my house, it’s the only one, it’s still not a reasonable walking distance for trips 3-4 times per week, and the food is exactly like you said, mostly treated.
I’ve been to several places in Europe and the grocery situation there is so much better, it’s honestly astounding.
I would be very surprised by that. Like the other poster said, it’s almost certainly Citizen’s United. Without it there wouldn’t be any of the erosion of regulation that we’ve seen blast through the US in less than two decades.
I’m also a backend dev that hates how many frameworks there are. At my last company i built a small tool and chose svelte. I’m glad i did. It is so easy for a backend dev to learn in comparison to react or angular or vue. I wouldn’t touch those three with a 50 ft poll in this day and age. There’s several good articles on why in the !webdev@programming.dev community a few days ago.

I would choose HTMX, Astro, Quik, or Sveltekit. I really like svelte, and it’s been at the top of stack overflow’s “beloved” chart for several years now. It really is a joy to use compared to react or angular (at least for a backend dev like me). I know they’re not nearly as popular, but using react is like using J2EE, you don’t need it, like 99.99% of the time.
It’s impossible to have perfect sleep every night. Maybe work towards your partner sound proofing the room so they don’t get woken up as easily. Maybe sleep in separate rooms. Many times you can find other solutions.
The author has an article about why privacy still matters in the digital age. I’m interested in their arguments about reconciling the two between gathering user votes to stop bad actors and user privacy mattering.
Sous vide steaks are the best way to cook a steak. If you get a steak at a high end restaurant, it will be sous vide no matter what. And no, it’s not “boil in a bag”. Smh.
Kagi. I haven't had a failed search results in months, and when I do google can't find it either so I haven't lost anything.

I mean it looks like a Red Junglefowl. Is there any reason you think it isn’t?
