I’m very confused what the nightmare is here.

Holy shit. That is terrible.

But it doesn’t really matter how bad it is, if you asked them to do something and they ignored it that’s inexcusable unless it’s illegal or breaking code. Doesn’t matter if you asked them to use a fucking 30” old growth log.

I don’t know what common practice is regarding that adjustable support. We have one similar that’s holding up our entire basement ceiling lol, but it looks like it was built that way with the house. Doesn’t look good but I’m guessing it’s fine.

No I’m really tired and I think I backspaced and fished it up. OK I’m leaving that autocorrect cause it’s funny

Edit: updated and fixed to say “it’s way slower than fish”

Ring has said they’re going to start doing it again. They stopped until people cared about something else and now that people are distracted they’re gonna start doing it again.

Vscode is a text editor, sorry…“code editor”. Like you so graciously called out in a later comment, MS even clarified that it’s not an IDE. If VSCode is an IDE then so is VIM or Sublime Text or Notepad++, which of course is nonsense. IDE doesn’t just mean integrated development environment, it means it was meant to be used that way. Just because I turned my lawnmower into something that looks like an F1 race car doesn’t mean it’s an F1 race car.

You’re clearly aware of all of the arguments why VS code isn’t an IDE so it’s pointless to have this argument, but you seem to think that just because something looks like an IDE means it is, which is just categorically false.
