I totally forgot about that! Yeah, I guess there were multiple CD game, damn. And we had lost, what was it, disk 3? So my family never beat Riven specifically. What a memory from the archive that is thanks for bringing it up.

I remember playing games on multiple floppies way back when! Then there was a good stretch when a single CD could hold everything, and now we’re back to multiple discs. It’s all cyclical.

I think it’s largely dependant on location. I live in the northeast US and never heard of this before my cousin moved to California and has his registration sticker stolen the day after he got Cali plates.
