"Hearing" the same password twice drastically increases the accuracy, however, social engineering is indeed the most effective and efficient attack method.

I finally did, they came and emptied my bin an my neighbours the next day.

Our has not been collected for the last 2 weeks, I guess they gave up. I think this was a good initiative but poorly executed, as expected.
