🤮
I did the same what @warm said and I don't even have WhatsApp. If someone needs something from me they have to write on Signal (or SMS 🤣).
I'd suggest "vorzeichnenbehaftete Ganzzahl" (maybe vbGanz) and "vorzeichenlose Ganzzahl" (vlGanz) 🤣 please don't make that a thing
I rechecked the windows taskbar stuff and you are right there is no setting for that, the only way to change it would be to chnage the region date format which would change it everywhere not only in the taskbar
This line of thinking has a fault. You're punishing choice and options because they're alien.
I don't really have an issue with choice but people use computers to do specific tasks and what's important are solid defaults with the option to (in a simple manner) change some stuff later.
What kind of jeans should you buy? What kind of socks should you wear?
The ones that fit. I don't really have hugh demands for my socks. And I think that's a good example how regular people think about computers. They buy something and expect it to "just work" and not get in the way. Imagine entering a store asking for socks and instead of "they are over there" they start to ask you so many questions you never thought about and really aren't interested in. I don't want to answer questions about which yarn I like, and if I want different socks for left and right or the same ones. The exact ratio between length and width, etc. I don't care. Most people don't. Just give me "the black ones".
That doesn't mean there should only be one color and type of socks. If you are a sock enthusiast go for it. But that's exactly what happens with most Linux distros when you install them. Some ugly terminal user interface ask you about which package managers, desktop environments, while switching back and forth between fast running console log output and ugly TUI questions and everybody watching thinks you sre trying to enter the matrix.
Most people don't care. Just give me the stuff that work in 95% of the cases and has the best support or most stable, or whatever, so basically "black socks".
I guess that's true and I certainly don't have anything against the concept of a constitution, but as someone not living in the US I find it pretty strange that so many Americans treat the constitution like some holy religious text.
The same is true for your brain. Show me the neurons that are fluent in Chinese. Of course the LLM is just executing code. And if we have AGI it will also just be "executing code" but so does your brain. It's not exactly code (but maye AGI will be analog computers, so not exactly code either) but the laws of physics dictate what your brain does. The laws of physics don't understand Chinese, the atoms and molecules don't understand Chinese. "Understanding Chinese" is an emergent property.
Think about it that way: Assume every person you know (execpt you) is just some form of Chinese Room ... You first of all couldn't prove that and second it wouldn't matter at all.
It depends what you mean by useful. Most humans are (at least at the moment) more versatile than even the most advanced AI we have. But you have to keep in mind that there are jobs with pretty mundane tasks where you don't really need the intelligence and versatility of a human.
They won't open source it because the rust code is very likely a joke. They are proud of just using two dependencies, don't know that their "statically generated" stuff is actually called server side rendering and are hosting this stuff on a fuckin laptop.
It's probably a project that will teach them a lot. But in practice their implementation is worthless to everybody else because they are obviously completely inexperienced.
That said, that project is likely not worthless to them because they will probably learn a ton of stuff why it's hard to build a search engine.
You can lose packets. Just cut the cable, but the other side will notice that the transmission is incomplete.
That's true. Statistical models are very carefully engineered and tested and current machine learning models are created by throwing a lot of training data at the software and hope for the best that the things that the model learns are not complete bullshit.

You should take a look 🤣 did that, or better said that's a side effect of starting with march.
