Love this. I have been thinking on it myself just how rubbish most of the clothes I buy are, not to mention concerns about exploitation of the people making them.

I haven’t watched many but I really enjoyed Kkondae Intern. Also the Korean version of Designated Survivor which I think was better than the US.

No need to resort to name calling and personal attacks. That’s being a dick by any standard.

Not only did there used to be a track there as the article mentions, this route was in fact the original Wairarapa line, before what was called the Silverstream diversion. For a time both routes were kept. Its a crime that the original line was removed, its a shame that no one had the foresight to at very least maintain the corridor for the future.

Yes, within the left-right wing paradigm both extreme ends are considered to become increasingly authoritarian and intolerant in support of their ends. Tankies are communists who defend Stalin and Mao using military violence against their own citizens with the justification that their protest/unrest was endangering the whole communist empire which was in a very real way of course under intense pressure, fighting for its existence against the capitalist world.

This is often represented it a parliamentary style seating layout by the horse shoe shape with the far extremes actually becoming closer to each other at the bottom of the horse shoe. It may seem a bit strange but its a good example I guess of how the left-right paradigm as description of political ideology has limitations and is in the end just an abstract model not a true and complete picture.

Te Upoko o te Ika a Māui | Wellington

I like this one. ^

And if we are saying the Wellington region, do we want that specified in the title or is “Wellington” enough?

I don't think it needs further clarification. Wellington/Greater Wellington/Wellington Region are used interchangeably.

Wellington Region/Greater Wellington would be more inclusive. Which according to Wikipedia would be: Te Upoko o te Ika a Māui.

I’m pretty happy either way though, I can’t imagine many would have a problem with having both English and Reo Maori. Its downright standard these days. I enjoy having it. I’m nowhere near fluent though.

I would say that I expect the content to be anything that is of interest to Kiwis. I don’t think there needs to be considerable resource wasted (imo) on policing content such that it must have a direct NZ connection. Also we have a simple way to self organise how “of interest “ certain content/topics are and that is of course the vote buttons.

So you’re not suggesting that all subs/communities would work like this but it could be a option right, a “cross-community” if you will, that is mirrored across different instances like a raid partition or something like that? Could be interesting!
