Any decent (or established I guess ) iOS mobile clients? I’m messing with mlem but it seems pretty basic and is still using TestFlight. It’s usable but a more full featured client might be nice
@gkd@lemmy.world is working on an iOS app as well; sounds like it’ll be on TestFlight relatively soon. It targets iOS 15 vs. Mlem’s 16, so a bit more compatible with older devices.
Available now, by the way. https://github.com/gkasdorf/memmy/discussions/13 https://testflight.apple.com/join/6jaRU6rD
Sweet, just installed! I’m a very opinionated user so could come up with a very long list of feature requests and feedback, but I’ll hold off since it’s early days. 😅
Thank you!
afaik, that's about it for the time being
I've been using it mostly so I can support the devs and submit bug/crash reports, but fall back to just the website for actual, casual browsing
There is a community for mlem over here as well: https://beehaw.org/c/mlemapp@lemmy.ml
Yeah Mlem doesn’t have a search feature yet so I’m just using mobile web browser
So, it actually does (for communities at least), it just isn't evident/obvious at all yet
If you click on the 'Subscribed' or 'All Posts' text in the top middle after you login to an instance, you'll see the screen that loads now says 'Community...' in light grey at the top. Click that, it's a search box. I discovered this 100% by accident
Ah, I might have mispoken. I did realize it was kind of a search box but I've had a really hard time getting it to reload when adding a new community that isn't synced to my instance yet (so I keep switching to the browser to add communities)
Oh, interesting, yeah that makes sense. I'm not sure how robust of a search box it is (seems like it might not "force" the indexing/federation part for new instances or communities?)
