What are people's plans today? Grand Final related or not

Washing my hair and apparently getting a pakidge. Seems a bit odd, but that’s what the email said.

Laundry, made more waffles, more laundry, tidied up a bit. Gotta nip out and grab some shopping. Lament the loss of wages from not working today (cries in casual worker whose boss would rather shut the business than pay anyone extra for working) Nothing major.

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago

That sucks. I feel like the public holidays outside of the major religious ones are paid days off for office workers.

A lot needs to be done here around the treatment of casual workers. The 25% loading isn't enough and it has shown not to be an incentive for employers to move people across to part or full time

Did a beach walk and tried a cafe which matched the online reviews (the odd one hasn't).
Now on the third load of washing and doing a bit of sorting in the spare/office room.

Laundry had come up a lot today. Compared to yesterday the weather had been much nicer, a perfect day for it

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 3 points 2 months ago

Not much. Wondering if I should get the washing done since the sun is out it wait till tomorrow.

Need food and coffee though.

We ended up going to a car show in the morning so the boys could look at a bunch of classic cars

Then in the afternoon I took the boys for a ride for a bit of a bush kinder

Look at that spot. There's no way you could get two kids and a pram there on foot or in a car
