Sox is being unbearably cute today. Cuts through the ennui a bit, even though I've been neglecting her, lost in my own darkness. I've carefully kept away her very long whisker from last night as a good luck charm for the weeks ahead.

If you can, I highly recommend burying your face in her fur. It really calms me; just move away if she stops purring. As long as you don't use your hands, may tolerate it. It really helps me stay grounded, the smell of mickey, his scent mixed lightly with the clean litter. They're soothing animals.

Saving whiskers is something I wish I started sooner. But I've been collecting them now and keeping them in a tin container. I hope to make him a toy with them when I have enough because he likes to eat them lol. I think keeping soxcats whiskers is a good omen, a positive influence that cats (and animals) can bring to our lives.
