Anyone else noticed generic brands being out of stock a lot at Colesworths?

First the generic peanut butter was out of stock for quite a long time, the generic paper cat litter is still unavailable, now it’s the decaf instant coffee and cocoa powder. And the prices are still a gouge.

If it was more possible for me I’d be predominately shopping at Aldi

I’ll let you tomorrow when I have a look.

It’s mostly been Coles that’s not had things

I've noticed my local never has stock of the 700gm coles brand tasty shredded cheese. It's one of the few things I buy at Coles.

General shift to less things being around. I want the salt reduced no sugar peanut butter. No dice latterly.

no Sanitarium pb at woolies

I used to always buy that brand because it was best and guaranteed hygienically made

Yeah. That one. I dislike the religious bit but the next option is the organic which is too oily & expensive when boyo devours a full jar a week

It feels like the supply chain issues have persisted

Or the demand is greater than the supply. Given the cost of living pressures, I'd put money on that.

Yeah. Sucks for the folks that were already poor

Sometimes I find that they leave the shelf empty to clear it all out in preparation for a price hike then they put it all back after the price has gone up.
