Ted n me went on an adventure to the park. He found sitting down to be easiest. He loved looking at all the birds tho some did not like him, he sniffed the sniffs and watched ducks swimming and people and cars on the busy streets but he was glad to be home and sat up once we got back to our little courtyard

Hooray Ted's first big day out!

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 16 points 3 months ago (1 children)

His eyes were as big as saucers when we got home and I got him out the stroller. He also tried to bite me but that's normal.

Lol'd at "he also tried to bite me but that's normal" πŸ˜‚

Little Old Dog was sedated on Monday for Xrays and is still quite wobbly. He’s a little more lost than usual (this morning he got stuck between a bookcase and a wall in an area of the house he rarely ventures to), so it’s time to Senile Dog proof the house. Poor littlest love!

Everyone encouraged to dress up for Halloween to work today. I'm going as an overweight, sleep deprived, depressed desk jockey.

So the results are.. nothing πŸ˜’No Buruli Ulcer but no anything else either. Doctor wants to just hand ball me to specialist. I showed him pictures I'd taken and said is it likely to be a form of Pityriasis. He agreed it could be, but said he wouldn't like to guess. Funny, he didn't mind guessing it was Impetigo and had me take antibiotics for a week while I was petrified I had an infectious disease. I said seeing as I've been using cortisone on it and it's helping, can I get a script for more (I'm using miniest's tube and it's almost ran out) and he ummed and ahhed about that and said that because he wasn't sure what it was he didn't really want to prescribe anything. As for the specialist, $365 is absolutely no dice. It's just not doable. It's already cost me a day's pay for this.

Today was one of those "can I just tell the client to go fuck themselves?" kind of days.

So, Thom Yorke was amazing. I chatted to the person next to me... Quite young looking woman, asked her if she'd seen Radiohead before, no first time. Told her I'd seen them in 97. Wow, that was before they got big. my dad went to that tour, that's where I got this shirt That show was 27 years ago... I was very likely at least double her age. I don't know whether I should feel old as time itself or that I should assume it's because of Radiohead being a timeless band and all that.... Second one right?

I don’t know how some people have so much energy and motivation. You know the ones. You get tired just looking at them. I want this superpower.

What was that meme? Aposematism is the use of bright colours to warn away predators. Looks like it worked.

Mr Woof must have wondered what was going on in the neighbourhood today. Our evening walk took us past all sorts of characters - a witch, a walking skeleton, the grim reaper and a walking pumpkin!

Day off for uni, working from home, trying not to have a total wobble over feeling like maybe this was all a mistake. I'm in too deep now! But as I get older I certainly find myself craving security over novelty and excitement. Kinda sad because I feel like I am shrinking as a person. It's not too late to claw back a sense of wonder and discovery though.

Ooor… you’re in a stage of building a more stable base from which you can grow and venture out from once again.

Frustrating experience today with being led astray with google maps. Ended up driving and wasting so much time this afternoon through so much roadworks.

Might have been easier to pay for postage next time considering the petrol wasted.

Well at least I’m finally home and can see if my new wares fit else it’s a return trip back there this weekend.

They were making some sort of Halloween concoction on the telly. Apparently they're ghosts.

Yeah nah.

Why does life have to be so difficult…

The irony is that if it weren’t for a few huge things I don’t have control over, I could be happy and satisfied with the life I have.

Been awhile since I've used 7-11 fuel lock but they've capped the discount to 25c a litre now which effectively makes the discount useless.

I hated 7-11 to begin with now I'm really not going to buy from them anymore.

Went to see psych today and they said how I've been masking and it's understandable that I don't know who I am. Literally on session 10. We've done a heap of case formulation, now to finally using the skills.

Plex migration update: Gave up on Debian, installed Mint. Mint installed great, more options in the GUI this looks promising. It wants an update, no worries go for, reboot aaaaaand it no longer boots. You have got to be shitting me linux. Installed windows, replaced plex files and looks to have completely failed. Gave up in frustration and went to bed.

Anyone else noticed generic brands being out of stock a lot at Colesworths?

First the generic peanut butter was out of stock for quite a long time, the generic paper cat litter is still unavailable, now it’s the decaf instant coffee and cocoa powder. And the prices are still a gouge.

If it was more possible for me I’d be predominately shopping at Aldi
