I feel like it’d be a little better as:
How much did the turkey weigh at the first Thanksgiving?

That might be a bit much for a 5-6 YO child, and a dad joke, but never miss a chance to educate!
Wait, you guys tell dad jokes to children?
I had children to legitimise my dad jokes.
So had I. That didn't stop me from telling all the adults, unfortunately (for them).
I tell them to mine, but they're in their 20s.
