What is currently the best way to transfer photos between android and iOS? I want to keep all the EXIF/location data on the photos.

I have tried LocalSend and Snapdrop, is there any other tool I can try out? Selfhosted is a big plus.

Try syncthing, it's cross platform and peer to peer. You can it up on a home server as well if you want.
