Is he seriously posting cringe like this?

[–] archonet@lemy.lol 112 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (3 children)

My guy he posted about being banned from PoE2, a mostly PvE game, for cheating. Literal man child that cannot beat AI enemies.

[–] affiliate@lemmy.world 38 points 3 days ago

it shouldn’t be too surprising that he cheats in online games given that he cheats in pretty much every other aspect of his life as well

The richest man on this planet. What the fuck are we doing

[–] MutilationWave@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

I'd argue that Putin and perhaps some Saudi royalty are richer but we don't know those numbers. But yeah agreed in general of course.

[–] Soulg@sh.itjust.works 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I didn't even see that one, was it like super obviously "in just so good and amazing and smart they banned me for cheating"

[–] TrousersMcPants@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He literally said he was banned for playing too well

[–] MutilationWave@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (2 children)

He, or someone he paid to impersonate him online, is the number one Diablo 4 player in the world. I played it for a couple months, it was pretty fun, but to get to that level you'd have to be playing it like it's your job.

[–] TrousersMcPants@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

He was number one on an unofficial leaderboard with around 880 recordings uploaded to it

[–] Furbag@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Keep in mind, he has an extremely demanding job. Five of them, in fact - CEO of Tesla, Neuralink, Boring, SpaceX, and X Formerly Twitter. And he manages to find enough time in the day to play Diablo 4 at the highest level and also advise the president elect on policy.

So either he's on amphetamines 24/7 to keep up with what I assume is a hellish workload even for companies that rarely need C-level input to function, or he's majorly full of shit and half asses all of his jobs and plays video games all day while boasting about what a successful hardworking guy he is and how he totally deserves that gorillion dollar benefits package.

[–] KeenFlame@feddit.nu 1 points 2 days ago

He takes amphetamine and plays games and thinks of stuff others can do for him there is no work involved at any point

Could be somewhere in the middle. I imagine there's a cottage industry of designer drugs for the ruling class and their bubble. People say he does a lot of K but if it's K I'm sure it's 100% pure. He probably has access to five different amphetamines, each for a different purpose, with minimal side effects. I truly envy the ultra rich for their no personal risk drug access.

I know if I were a billionaire I'd be hiring the brightest minds in chemistry to create all kinds of drugs, therapeutic, functional, or recreational. Pure and safe. Create a pharmaceutical corporation that does real work and then pay the shadow chemists top dollar for secret R&D. The difference is I would try to find a way to give it away for free. Or find a way to get it to high level criminal leaders to distribute for low cost with high volume. Safe alternatives to fentanyl, etc.

Just daydreaming here as I'm off tomorrow and I only have alcohol and weed.

Edit- to actually respond, I think the only company he really touches with any regularity is Twitter, with obvious motives and results.

SpaceX - Has done very well and genuinely benefitted the progress of humanity. No indication he messes with it much anymore. I'm glad it exists.

The Boring Company - Don't think he's touched it in years. It's a front company to deliver barely more than jack shit and big promises. It's purpose is to undermine high speed rail and other infrastructure, to benefit:

Tesla - Kicked electric cars into high demand which I'm grateful for. But their vehicles suck and they're far too expensive. I don't think he touches this much anymore beyond the cybertruck.

Neuralink - Finally this. I think he lost interest in it. Killed a bunch of apes, helped some severely disabled people. But from what I understand the people who gained in ability are seeing their implants become less and less effective. I like the idea. I would definitely become a cyborg if someone offered, but I don't think I'd let them mess with my brain or spine yet. I hope to see super cool implants developed from the data they've gathered, but they'll probably hoard it. And of course once they're safe, the implants will only be for the ultra wealthy.

Have you met the guy? (I'm sorry if you have)

[–] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 30 points 3 days ago (1 children)

That's all he does, no reason to get excited

[–] 790@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He's posted way weirder stuff than this.

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I mean the Taylor Swift thing where he said he'd have her babies and protect her cats was pretty bad and I swear that isn't even close to the worst.

However, I'm not on X though so I don't have to look at the weirdness.

[–] UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 days ago

Yikes, elon makes me feel normal holy shit.
