So, these people are so incapable of managing their money such that they need to have their accounts managed by their family is what I’m reading.
They are incapable of learning the signs of a scam. I can’t feel bad for them at this point. They require a conservatorship to protect them from themselves.
Yeah, I had a similar reaction myself when reading this. On one hand, I do feel sorry for them, on the other hand, how thick can you get?
Remember, that bell curve. For every reasonably smart person (115+) there exists an incredibly stupid person (85-).
Ok, that's not really how it works. But you get my drift, assuming your level of knowledge is the same as others knowledge, isn't really reasonable.
I feel even Forrest Gump would have seen through this one.
